Wright, John. The Fruit Grower's Guide: Early Rivers (cherries). London: J.S. Virtue & Co, 1890s. Print, 4to, chromolithograph, colored, matted attached to backing board at the top with two small pieces of archival tape. Slight aging and browning, right margin a little rough; otherwise bright and clean. This plate comes from Wright's (1836-1916) celebrated work on fruit (The Fruit Growers Guide). The beautiful plates from this work are credited to Miss Gertrude Hamilton and Marie Low. This chromolithograph features a group of dark cherries, surrounded by green leaves. This plate is extremely colorful and life like.
