He was an early advocate for religious freedom and democracy, in the youth of America, including supporting the unification of all the colonies of America, which would later become the United States.William Penn was given the land that now includes Pennsylvania and Delaware by King Charles II, in order to pay debts that the King owed Penn's father.Bookplate of Sir Andrew Noble to the front paste down; Noble was a Scottish physicist, known for his works on ballistics and gunnery. In the original publisher's vellum binding. Externally, smart, with some light discolouration and marks to the boards and spine, as is usual with vellum. A little bumping to the extremities.
