After hearing these fateful words, “I am sorry, but you have cancer,” young Navy officer David Glover turned to triathlon to prove to himself that although he had cancer, cancer did not have him.

Since 1995, David has competed in over 100 triathlons including 28 IRONMAN distance races (2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike, 26.2-mile run). He has achieved a personal best time of less than nine hours and has five overall wins at the Iron distance. He is also an eight-time USA Triathlon All-American.
