Fumbling Toward You: Scared to Fall, Afraid to Let Go

Fumbling Towards You

A lifeguard. A letter. A summer that will change everything.

Rouven never expected to feel at ease as a lifeguard—watching, waiting, blending into the background. But when free-spirited Clara and effortlessly charming Manfred crash into his world, something shifts. They talk to him like they’ve known him forever, and for the first time, Rouven doesn’t feel like an outsider in his own life. Then comes the note—Cute Lifeguard—scrawled in anonymous ink.Is it from Clara, whose laughter feels like sunlight? Or Manfred, whose jokes hide something deeper?

When Manfred confesses he’s the one who wrote it, Rouven’s carefully ordered world tilts. He’s spent years believing he knew exactly who he was—until now.

Fifteen days. One confession. A choice that could redefine everything.

A tender, heart-racing coming-of-age story about the messy thrill of first love, the courage to embrace who you truly are, and the summer that pulls you under—in the best possible way.
