Bill Semion is a freelance writer and full-time public relations specialist and has been involved in magazine and newspaper travel and outdoor writing for more than 25 years. He has explored Michigan for as long as he can remember. One of his earliest memories is taking a car ferry ride with the family cat across the Straits of Mackinac (prior to the completion of the Mackinac Bridge) and vacationing with his parents in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
Bill is the author of Winter Trails Michigan: The Best Cross-Country Ski & Snowshoe Trails and has won a number of writing awards. Previous editions of Fun With the Family in Michigan have won the Mark Twain award for best travel book. A father of two, Bill lives in Canton Township, a Detroit suburb.
