From the front-inside

“This is an important and natural follow-on to Fun With Radio, Fun With Short-Wave Radio and Fun With Electronics. Briefly it explains what transistors are, how they work and how they compare with valves; it details those types of transistor receivers which require aerials and those which do not, giving types, cost, results and difficulties. It then goes on to deal with the construction of transistor sets – from a simple type to more complex ones – and includes a pocket transistor receiver for use with personal earphone, transistor-superhets, record amplifiers, short-wave receivers, etc. It deals also with the various transistor applications in modern life – computers, aircraft, rockets, space travel and so on.

This completely revised edition with new material includes the use and application of modules. It is fully illustrated with technical diagrams and new photographs.”
