This rigorous text provides in-depth coverage of radar signal processing from a DSP perspective, filling a gap in the literature. There are a number of good books on general radar systems: Skolnik and Nathanson are the most popular. There are also good monographs on advanced and specialty topics like synthetic aperture imaging. But there is a large, practical gap between the qualitative system books and the advanced DSP titles, and that is the slot this book fills.
About the Author: Mark A. Richards, Ph.D. is a principal research engineer and adjunct professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He has over 20 years experience in academia, industry, and government in radar signal processing and embedded computing. He has served as a program manager in the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency; the General Chair of the IEEE 2001 Radar Conference, and as an associate editor of the IEEE Transactions on Image Processing and the IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing. Dr. Richards teaches frequently in graduate and professional education courses in radar signal processing, radar imaging, and related topics. He lives in Marietta, Georgia.
