About the Author
Wenbin Chen, is the Huazhong Scholar Distinguished Professor, School of Medical Equipment Science and Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). Prof. Chen specializes in exoskeletal rehabilitation robotics, anthropomorphic prosthetic robotics, and soft robotics. He has received numerous awards, including the First Prize in the China Machinery Industry Science and Technology Invention Award (2023) and the Golden Prize at the 45th and 46th Geneva International Invention Exhibitions (2017, 2018). His work focuses on the development of innovative robotic systems, and he has obtained several Chinese medical device certifications for his inventions. Prof. Chen has published extensively in leading journals, contributing over 100 high-impact research papers. He actively serves on editorial boards of robotics and engineering journals and has received awards for textbook excellence, including the Ministry of Education's First Prize for Excellent Textbooks (2021).
Han Ding, Professor Ding is the Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Dean of the State Key Laboratory of Intelligent Manufacturing Equipment and Technology, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). Prof. Ding is a pioneer in digital manufacturing technology, robotic machining, and intelligent control. He has received numerous prestigious awards, including the National Natural Science Award (Second-Class) and the National Science and Technology Progress Awards (Second- and Third-Class). He has published over 260 SCI journal articles and authored four academic books, including Geometric Theories and Methods for Digital Manufacturing of Complex Surfaces (2011). Prof. Ding has served as the Principal Investigator for multiple national research projects, including China's National 973 Programs. He is an editorial board member of leading journals and has contributed significantly to advancing manufacturing technology both in academia and industry.
Youlun Xiong, Professor Xiong is the Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, School of Mechanical Science and Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). Prof. Xiong is a renowned scholar in advanced manufacturing technology, robotics, and precision measurement. He is a recipient of multiple awards, including the National Science and Technology Progress Awards (Second and Third Class) and the Hubei Province Science and Technology Outstanding Contribution Award (2022). Prof. Xiong has authored several influential books, including Robotics: Modeling, Control, and Vision (2018) and Fundamentals of Robotics (2014). Prof. Xiong has supervised over 40 doctoral students, with two winning the National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award. He is a member of the International Federation for the Theory of Machines and Mechanisms and serves on the academic committees of key laboratories in China. He has been an editorial board member of leading journals such as Acta Scientiarum Naturalium Universitatis Scientiarum Sinica and the Journal of Mechanical Engineering.
