Albert Sánchez Piñol (Barcelona, 1965) es antropólogo y escritor. Autor de los ensayos Payasos y monstruos(2000), Quan érem genocides (2017) y Les estructures elementals de la narrativa (2021), Sánchez Piñol ha publicado además el libro Compañía difícil (2000), en colaboracióncon Marcello Fois, y el conjunto de relatos Les edats d’or (2001). Su primera novela, La piel fría (Alfaguara, 2015), fue galardonada con los premios Ojo Crítico y Llibreter, ha sido adaptada a la gran pantalla y ha sido traducida a treinta y siete lenguas, convirtiéndose en un gran éxito, con más de 800.000 ejemplares vendidos en todo el mundo.
