A hardcover book bound in full burgundy leather with gilt decorations on the boards and spine. FAIR CONDITION. Edges scuffed and lots of little rub marks on the boards. Convent label inside front cover. Several pages are nearly detached; most are still tightly bound. Occasional mild foxing and smudges, but otherwise clean. 20 issues of a catalogue of steel engravings of religious paintings, each accompanied by a poem by Benedictine monk Gall Morel. Text in German using the Gothic fraktur font. Undated, but appears to be from around the late 1800s. This copy belonged to Archbishop John B. Purcell of Cincinnati (1800-1883), whose inscription is inside the front cover. Seller Inventory # 184034

Priority shipping is $15.00 for delivery by either UPS or Priority Mail. Delivery is within 2-6 business days and includes tracking and insurance. Economy shipping is $7.00 for delivery bu US Media Mail with delivery confirmation. Our shipping prices may be higher than others but consider that all items are carefully wrapped in bubblewrap, cushioning material, and secure packaging - you won't receive a book dropped into a plain paper envelope!
