THE GATE OF ISHTAR: Book One of The Descent

Before she descended, Inanna stood at the rim of the world and did not speak. Her sister fell. Three thousand years later, the crown has started to feel heavy.

The Gate of Ishtar is the story of a goddess at the height of her power — and the guilt she has been carrying since before she had power at all. The theft of the divine laws. The war of the cities. A husband who knows her completely. A priestess who teaches her something about fear. And a night in a storeroom when she finally sits on the floor and looks at the thing she has not been able to look at for three thousand years.

The descent has not yet begun. But it is coming.
