8vo. full brown calf, slipcase. Contains an extra suite of plates loosely inserted in a pocket in the back. xiii, 82, (2) pages. Limited to 226 copies of which this is one of the 26 copies printed on handmade paper by Barcham Green and bound thus by A.W. Lumsden of Edinburgh. These 26 copies also contain an extra suite of the nine woodcuts printed directly from the block by the artist, Kathleen M. Lindsley. McAlpine was a Tory who attached himself to the British army during the Revolutionary War. Spine slightly sunned, else fine condition. Prospectus present. Seller Inventory # 37036
