A folio society, boxed set of five hardback books in fine condition. These five books are in virtually brand new unused condition, and as they are used books, normal wear, marks and tear apply consistent with use and age. All five books sit nicely within a boxed slipcase, with an image of George Orwell reporting for the BBC, set with a silver coloured background. Volume 1: "The Road to Wigan Pier" has 211 pages, Volume 2: "Down and Out in Paris and London" has 216 pages, Volume 3: "Funny But Not Vulgar" has 278 pages, Volume 4: "Homage to Catalonia" has 245 pages and Volume 5: "My Country Right or Left" has 315 pages. All five volumes are in clean unused/unread condition, and all books with nice tight bindings. All five volumes were published by The Folio Society in 1998, typeset in Egyptienne F Roman, printed on Balmoral Wove Paper at St. Edmundsbury Press, Bury St Edmunds. Bound at Hunter & Foulis, Edinburgh in full printed cloth. Five outstanding, high quality books, that would grace any stylish home library.
