Blue Ribbon Books, Garden City, N.Y., 1945. Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Copyright 1945. GI JOE was created in 1942 by Lt. Dave Breger in who had created the cartoon "Private Breger" for the Saturday Evening Post. The pages are orange with several cartoons on each page.Tan boards with dark brown pictorial and print on front. Edges slightly worn.Spine rubbed at end. Very nice book.
