AUTHOR LIVES IN VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA. Rose Inserra was born Rosa Diamente in Spinete, Italy. She arrived in Australia with her family when she was nine years old. Italian folk magic has always been a big part of her life and identity. Her love of nature, foods, herbs and traditions stems from growing up in rural Italy then in regional Victoria. Until recently, Rose produced cold-pressed extra-virgin olive oil on her farm. She is currently studying herbalism, combining ancestral traditions with health-centred practices.
