GIS Applications for Enhancing Sustainable Operational Performance of Manufacturing Industries (Hardcover)

As manufacturing industries face increasing pressure to improve efficiency while reducing environmental impact, the integration of digital tools has become essential for achieving sustainable operational performance. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) offer a powerful platform for managing and analyzing data that influences manufacturing operations, supply chain logistics, and waste management. Through location-based decision-making, GIS supports manufacturers in optimizing processes and enhancing economic and social sustainability. GIS in manufacturing industries and highlights its potential to enhance sustainable operational performance. GIS Applications for Enhancing Sustainable Operational Performance of Manufacturing Industries explores the concept of GIS proving to be an effective instrument to be used in the industrial processes. It examines the linkage between GIS technology with sustainable manufacturing systems. Covering topics such as manufacturing, sustainability, and industrial processes, this book is an excellent resource for researchers, academicians, manufacturers, industrial planners, factory managers, and government agencies.
