(ca. 1890) A Very Good copy. 12mo., 523 pp., illustrated with b&w engravings. Bound in half leather and marbled paper boards. A.e.g. Marbled end papers. Light shelf wear and soiling to the boards. Internally very clean, except for a few small dots on the blank end papers. A handsomely Victorian bound volume of this most Victorian author. Whyte-Melville, (1821-78), was a Scottish novelist, concerning primarily riding sports, and poet.
