12 pages plus covers. Staple-bound paperback booklet: H 21.25cm x L 13.75cm. White paper covers soiled with slight curl towards fore-edge; slender wear along spine fold. Some soiling and foxing to interior pages. Slight rust to staples but they remain firm. Features 55 Creole-influenced recipes. OCLC cites one institutional holding with the publication range attributed between 1925-1935 although it seems more likely to be 1930-1940 from the typeset and printing. B.F. Trappey and Sons started in 1898 and stayed within the family until being sold in 1982 followed by several other corporate acquisitions with the brand owned B&G Foods since 1997. Page 1 dedication statement from "Distributors' Home Economist of the South" Gene MacDaniell with her essay "Creole Cooking is Exotic and Healthful" on front cover's verso. An online search turns up minimal information regarding Gene MacDaniell but the find-a-grave site does have a record of an Alabama-born Gene Allie Grisham MacDaniell (1892-1981) which at least establishes a southern connection.…
