About the Author: Scott Schwefel joined a small computer networking company in 1991, and in 1995 acquired the education related assets, maintaining majority ownership with the founding of Benchmark Learning in 1995. He grew Benchmark to over $10,000,000 in annual revenues with over 50 employees. In 1997 and 1998 Benchmark was named to Minnesota s Fast 50 listing of the fastest growing privately held private companies. In 2002 Schwefel was named to Minnesota s 40 under 40 listing of top executives in Minnesota, under age 40, published by The Business Journal. In 2003 Schwefel sold his interest in Benchmark Learning and spent the next 12 months traveling with his family, and writing, I Think I ll Stand Up which was published in 2004. Having relied on psychometric assessments in building his own business for more than a decade, and having spent over 10 years teaching sales training classes, and writing and lecturing on the topics of sales, self-discovery, personality styles and goal setting, he chose to open the Twin Cities Insights Learning Center in May, 2004. Today he owns and operates the Minnesota Insights Learning Center, and teaches and coaches using the Insights Discovery System, and has personally trained over 500 CEOs as a featured speaker for Vistage, the world's largest CEO membership organization. Schwefel hold a B.A. in Organizational Behavior and Communications from Concordia University, and makes his home in Excelsior, Minnesota.
