Early reprint (apparently first published in 1880). 192 pages. Hardcover; H 17.5cm x L 12.5cm. Dark brown cloth with black stamping upon boards and spine, some rubbing to gilt stamped spine lettering but still remains fairly bright, board corners and spine ends worn. Green endpapers decorated with floral motif. Slight splitting evident along front hinge; some foxing upon edges and interior leaves; short slender paper stub at top spine corner between half-title and title page which presumably may be a missing frontispiece. An uncommon title from a fairly prolific British author.
