Gaining Ground: Prayer Strategies for Transforming Your Community

Transformation is what the Christian life is all about. But some focus only on individual transformation and miss the bigger picture. Martin Scott wants whole communities to be transformed for the express purpose of building God's kingdom on earth. The best way to effect widespread change, he says, is through strategic-level spiritual warfare. In this book, Scott introduces readers to widely respected methods of spiritual warfare, including spiritual mapping, prophetic intercession, identificational repentance, developing a prayer strategy for an area, and prayerwalking--things every believer can do to be part of gaining territory for God. Born out of scriptural research and personal experience, this book will help readers develop effective prayer strategies for their regions. This is a great resource for churches and for individuals with a desire to see their communities liberated and transformed.

Martin Scott was born in the Orkney Islands, Scotland. He moved to London to pursue studies in theology and received a BA Honors degree from London Bible College. Martin is widely recognized as an important prayer leader and strategist with a strong prophetic gift. In 1998 he initiated the ministry of Sowing Seeds for Revival in order to encourage groups of churches to come together under a single unified prayer strategy for their city/region. Martin regularly leads prayer teams that travel to cities in the USA, Britain, Germany, France, Sweden and Brazil.
