Galaxies and the Runaway Universe

The practical activities are easy to follow and will promote understanding and additional learning. Developments in our understanding and exploration of space have been many and rapid in the past few years, so the timing of Raman Prinja's brand-new space series for QED is perfect. The author's knowledge of, and enthusiasm for, his subject are evident from the highly readable text, which brings this complex subject within the grasp of younger readers. The inclusion of practical activities, using readily available materials, is an important and much-requested feature of this new science series.

Raman Prinja has written several successful general-interest books on astronomy and is keen to bring the subject of astronomy to a wider audience. He is currently Professor of Astrophysics at University College London. Raman is the author of Science Crazy, which won the Children's Choice School Library Association Information Book Aware 2013 for the category 7-12 year olds.
