Rusty Burson is currently the associate editor of 12th Man Magazine and Vice President with the 12th Man Foundation. Burson, a 1990 graduate of Sam Houston State, began his professional career as a newspaper reporter and editor in Galveston and later in Fort Worth. After leaving the newspaper industry, Burson took a role in municipal public relations and then became an editor for numerous business publications in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Burson joined the 12th Man Foundation, the fund-raising organization for Texas A&M athletics, in 1998. He lives in College Station with his wife, Vannessa, and the couple s three children son, Payton, and daughters, Kyleigh and Summer. Burson has authored four previous books.
