In fair condition, with chips and losses along edges of now-protected dust jacket. Light scuffing and bumping of corners to exterior. Hinges remain in good condition and text block remains bound well. Light markings. Nicely illustrated throughout, with both line cuts and black-and-white photographs. A scarce piece on garden architecture and design by Marjorie Sewell Cautley (1891-1954), an American landscape architect who worked in both the public and private sector. In 1935, she was appointed as a landscape consultant for the State of New Hampshire, where she helped oversee the construction of ten state parks.
