A Good copy of volume two of a three volume set from the "Country Life Library" Volume has no copyright date but Country Life began in 1897, Charles Scribner's Sons started in 1901 and the third volume was possibly published in 1908. Wear to corners of boards. Slight musty smell to volume. Wear to both ends of spine with tearing and the illustrations have wear spots. Gilt page edgings are still crisp. Previous owner's bookplate remains inside front boards. Slight sunning to flyleaves and side page edgings. Previous owner's notes in pencil with an embossed seal and spotting on front flyleaf. Small piece of tissue paper is attached inside front boards. Smudging to front flyleaf. Wear to page edgings with smudging and dings. Lavishly illustrated. Notes in red ink to pages x & xi. Pages 27 through 30 are attached at both ends. Many pages are attached at the top corner. Spot along spine between pages 36 & 37. Deep crease to corner of page 91/92. Slight separation between pages 94 & 95 along spine and is noticeable along the side page edgings. Spine string shows through between pages 38 & 39 and 102 & 103. Includes an Introduction, an Index and Publisher's advertising for Volume 1 at the end.
