The Gate of Gates (Arab edition)

Crafted by writer Philippe Cardinal, the debut exhibition 'The Gate of Gates' at the Red Sea Museum presents an exclusive collection of photographs by acclaimed Saudi artist Moath Alofi, breathing life back into the spirit of Bab al-Bunt, nestled in Jeddah's heart. Once the primary entrance through the Red Sea for millions of global Muslim pilgrims en route to Holy Mecca, Bab al-Bunt stood tall in al-Balad for decades. Commissioned by Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Culture, Moath Alofi's lens not only captures the building's rich architectural details but also preserves the enigma of abandoned items within, echoing a bygone era and testifying to the site's vibrancy over centuries.
