100 pages, softcover, 8.25" by 5.75". Third edition, first published in 1886, likely expanded here. RARE early cookbook, with hundreds of recipes - federal cake, Good Friday buns, oyster celery soup, cream flummery, hickory-nut cake, elderberry blossom wine, deviled clams, and many, many other forgotten treats. Several pages of ads for local Towanda businesses - printed in great typography - bookend the recipes. In very good condition overall - interior surprisingly clean and unfoxed, general creasing and chipping to cover, back cover with newspaper article affixed.
