Gender Dimensions of Rural Employment

The main objective of this book is to identify adequate policy responses to key gender-based constraints to the achievement of rural employment in global perspectives. This book examines the links between gender equality and rural employment for poverty reduction by constructing a gender analytical framework to interpret differentiated patterns and conditions of work across regions, socio-economic contexts and policy environments. The present book is designed into ten chapters and it is further organised in two parts. The first part deals with conceptual analysis of gender inequalities of rural employment in labour market in four chapters. The second part of this book enlightens gender dimensions of rural employment for poverty reduction in developing countries in five chapters. The fact and findings which have given in this book is authenticated and tested by authors.
