Each narrative 'lesson' is between 12 and 24 pages, with 2-3 lessons in each spiral bound volume. The location dates the printing most likely in the early 50's. For the development of 'true believers' in the Spiritualist path. Morris Pratt established an institute or ?college? for spiritualist study in 1889 in Whitewater, as ?M. Pratt?s Sanitarium and hall of Psychic science.? He operated the institute until 1902, when he died. The institute lived on into the 1930s when classes ended, but the organization remained active and in 1946, it was moved to Wauwatosa, near Milwaukee, where it still exists today with training in Spiritualist Mediumship, Ministry and healing according to recent coverage by station WTMJ-TV, Milwaukee. The author of the "General Course" was Thomas Grimshaw, the second president of the Institute. This early series of lessons appears to be scarce.
