A fascinating Muggletonian pamphlet declaring one of the central tenants of Muggletonianism, that there can be no spirit without a body.Written by Muggletonian founders John Reeve and Lodowick Muggleton.Muggletonianism was a small Protestant Christian movement in the mid to late seventeenth century founded by Lodowicke Muggleton. It began as a sub-sect of the Ranters and opposed the Quakers.This was the second publication by Reeve and Muggleton, after'A Transcendent Spiritual Treatise'.Originally written in the mid seventeenth century, this is a later impression from the nineteenth century.A very scarce work. In blue paper wraps with a handwritten label to the front wrap. Externally, smart, with just some light edgewear. Internally, firmly bound. Some pages are uncut to the top-edge but are generally bright and clean throughout. Very Good Indeed.…
