Thick quarto. 801 pages. 20th-century black buckram, gilt-lettered on spine. FIRST EDITION. Complete printed indexes of Volumes 1-70 of the Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society of London. Each index arranged in two formats: alphabetically by subject (through page 552) and alphabetically by author (pages 555-end). Twenty entries are recorded for Isaac Newton, eighteen for Christian Huygens, and a full fifty-eight for Robert Boyle. Some intermittent pale spotting, generally a tall, crisp copy.

All purchases are shipped subject to approval, and we will accept returns if notified within 30 days of receipt for any reason. Please e-mail orders@riverrunbooks.com or call (914) 478-1339 to initiate your return. In your e-mail, please include your name, item(s), and reason for return.
We will confirm your return upon receipt and issue a refund or credit / exchange within approximately 48 hours. Please allow for ten business days for returns to be reflected on your credit card statement.
New York State residents must pay the appropriate sales tax. We will notify you after your order of any additional charges owed.
Overseas orders should specify shipping preference.

Basic shipping in the US is via USPS Media Mail. Priority shipping is via USPS Priority Shipping or FedEx. We are happy to quote other rates if you prefer different carriers or service. Books are carefully packed and shipped to insure protection of the books. Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required.
