This wonderful map of Switzerland highlights the country's mountainous terrain, with shaded color relief vividly showing the Swiss Alps in the lower right. German and French text identify various place names, geographic features, and transportation routes; with corresponding legends provided along the bottom of the sheet. The map was likely published in the first decade of the 20th century by the Kummerly & Frey firm, still in operation in Bern today. Sheet Width (in) 38.5 Sheet Height (in) 27.5 Condition Description Dissected into 24 panels and mounted onto linen. Moderate wear along the linen, including several areas of separation. The upper right panel has separated vertically, but has been reinforced with archival tape. A bit of discoloration along fold lines, consistent with age.
