A scarce early nineteenth century pronouncing dictionary. Second Edition. With an explanation of pronunciation and grammar to the front. In a half calf binding with marbled boards. Externally, some rubbing. Rear joint only just starting. Hinges slightly strained. Internally, generally firmly bound, although the final leaf of text (p331-332) is missing. Bright, with foxing throughout, and occasional ink and handling marks. Indentations from erased heavy pencil inscription to front blank. Good.
