A scarce early Philadelphia printing of a sermon by English-born polymath, Unitarian, scientist, and writer Joseph Priestley (1733-1804). He and his wife moved to Northumberland, Pennsylvania in 1794, and first lodged in Philadelphia, where he delivered a series of sermons and helped establish the First Unitarian Church of Philadelphia.
