Full leather with repaired spine. Both volumes were repaired in 1970. the covers of both volumes have wear and scuffing to the boards, edges and corners commensurate with their age. Volume one has browning to the front free page, frontispiece and full title page. The front board is pulling away from the main part of the book. There is spotting throughout the book. Volume two has browning and spotting throughout. The back board is pulling away from the main part of the book.
