About the Author

Charles Zastrow (MSW, PhD, University of Wisconsin Madison) is professor emeritus of social work at University of Wisconsin Whitewater where he was chair of the social work department for 6 years. He has served as assistant director and professor of social work at George Williams College of Aurora University at Williams Bay, Wisconsin. He has been a board member of BPD and has chaired The Commission on Educational Policy as well as 28 social work accreditation site visit teams for CSWE. Zastrow is a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Wisconsin who has worked as a practitioner in various public and private agencies.
