About the Author

Andrei Băutu received his Ph.D. in 2010 from “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University (Romania). This book includes some results of his Ph.D. studies, which covered applicability of swarm intelligence algorithms (Particle Swarm, in particular) to problems from Statistical Physics, such as the ground state of Ising spin glasses or the Thompson problem.
