Generative AI for University Faculty: Becoming the Faculty the Future Deserves

Generative AI is no longer just a buzzword, it is transforming the daily life of faculty.

Teaching, research, mentoring, and administration have always demanded more hours than the day provides. Generative AI won’t remove those responsibilities, but it can help reshape them.

Generative AI for University Faculty is a practical guide that shows how AI can act as a colleague rather than a competitor. From designing smarter courses and creating engaging content to streamlining research and giving better feedback, this book blends decades of academic leadership with actionable strategies.

Written in a faculty-first voice, it avoids jargon and focuses on what educators actually do every day. Whether sceptical or curious, you’ll find ways to use AI responsibly, saving time, protecting integrity, and rediscovering the joy of teaching and scholarship in an age of rapid change.
