"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth," are the first words recorded in the Bible. Dr. DeHaan asserts that one’s attitude toward this opening statement of the Word is a true test of his faith in the rest of the Scriptures. Is this record of creation fact - or is it fiction and fable? Upon your answer to this question hinge all other answers pertaining to the problems of death, sin, redemption, heaven and hell. In this study, Dr. DeHaan does not set out to quarrel with science. Indeed, he points out that there can be no conflict between TRUE science and the CORRECT interpretation of Scripture, for God is the Author of true science. But, the author states unequivocally, much so-called science is not scientific - and wherever science and the Bible conflict, it is either because the Bible has been misinterpreted, or science is wrong and is still in error. Dr. DeHaan develops his case logically and simply, marshaling his forces solidly behind a true Biblical interpretation of the first three chapters of Genesis, and helpfully dealing with many facets of the case against evolution in the light of a sane Biblical approach. Dr. DeHaan exposes the false tenets of the evolutionary theory to the merciless light of the facts, providing revitalizing reassurance to God’s people and thought-provoking conclusions to the unbeliever.
