(1967). Folio half blue cloth over light blue-gray Fabriano paper-covered boards. Hand printed on double-fold Japanese Masa paper by Michael McCurdy and with four fine in-text engravings on wood by McCurdy. The second and third chapters of the book of Genesis in the old testament of the Bible. McCurdy's first published work; Pendle Press on colophon. Laid in are two versions of a broadside, "An Introductory Comment as to the Aims and Aspirations of the Hillside Press", with a pencil note on one that it is "not final version". A copy of a laid-in letter dated 2012 from Deborah McCurdy explains that McCurdy changed the name of the Pendle Press to the Hillside Press after learning that Pendle Hill Pamphlets had been issued by American Friends under that imprint. Rare. A fine copy.
