Genesis: : Printed in Color to Represent the Four Textual Sources

Bringing the biblical text to the page has always been a long, complex, often bloody task. It is rife with humanity. Homsher rightly states in his Introduction that "We are at the receiving end of a long, complex history of textual tradition, which was a very human process." The Thornwillow production of Genesis honors this complex tradition. Stunningly printed in four separate colors to match the traditional four sources of the biblical Pentateuch, made popular by Julius Wellhausen's part in forming the "Documentary Hypothesis" as part of early 20th century German biblical criticism. This edition will surely renew the way in which the reader approaches one of the world's most influential cosmologies. Limited to just 175 copies, of which this is no. 83, signed by the publisher. Publisher subscriber list laid in. Publisher's half blue cloth over letterpress boards.
