About the Author
Dr. Shi Wang is Director of the MOE Key Laboratory of Marine Genetics and Breeding and Deputy Dean of Ocean University’s College of Marine Life Sciences. He obtained his BSc in Biotechnology and his PhD in Genetics from the Ocean University of China and conducted his postdoctoral research at the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Wang’s research focuses on bivalve genomics and molecular breeding, and his laboratory develops novel genomic technologies and breeding methods for bivalve mollusks by studying the genetic and evolutionary mechanisms of important traits in these critical aquaculture species.
Dr. Zhenmin Bao is Honorary Director of the MOE Key Laboratory of Marine Genetics and Breeding and Director of Ocean University’s Laboratory of Tropical Marine Germplasm Resources and Breeding Engineering. He obtained his BSc in Marine Biology from Shandong Ocean University and his PhD in Aquaculture from Qingdao Ocean University.
