The traditional view of language as a set of rules has been extensively neglected by many linguists like Halliday, Martin, Christie, and others, and has been substituted by original practices and dynamic functions. Amal kaba, is an M.A holder in Applied Linguistics from Warwick University, UK. She got her B.A degree in English Language from the Aleppo University, Syria. She is currently a lecturer at King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia. Amal has written extensively in the field of her major and research.
