Gentle Horse Training: A New 4-Step Approach for Horse and Rider

Providing a foundation for understanding how a horse learns and showing how to apply this knowledge within the training process, this resource features a training approach that can be worked through over a four-month period. An inspiring training guide for all who wish to develop a strong and successful relationship with their horse without the use of force, the underlying principles in this resource are movement, distance, and softness. The book's four modules—foundation, calmness, collection and shoulder, and balance and coordination module—teach riders a unique approach that can be easily integrated into any training program, whatever the style of riding.

Thies Böttcher developed his system of horsemanship in the mid-1990s. He has taught the principles of binary activation since 2005, and he writes regularly for a variety of equestrian magazines.
