Gentrification and Public Health

This book explores the profound impacts of gentrification on public health, examining how this process reshapes socioeconomic and physical environments, exacerbates health disparities, and influences lived experiences. Ana Isabel Ribeiro, a geographer with a master’s and PhD in public health, is a researcher at the Institute of Public Health, University of Porto, the founder and leader of the Health and Territory Lab, and an invited assistant professor at the Faculty of Medicine. Pedro Gullón, a Medical Doctor with a Master’s and PhD in epidemiology and public health, is currently the General Director of Public Health and Health Equity in Spain. Thomas Astell-Burt is the Professor of Cities and Planetary Health at the University of Sydney.
