About this Item

First paperback edition, Berkley Medallion #G518, with "BERKLEY EDITION, APRIL, 1961" on its copyright page. This copy is in very good condition, possibly unread, marred only by a small hand-written price in the top margin of the front end paper, a very shallow crease in back hinge, an edge bump on bottom of front cover with short shallow creases, light edge bumps on back cover with a very short closed tear, and traces of wear to edges and corners. Binding is sound and square, with no crease in the spine or front hinge. Covers are bright and unmarked. Pages are unmarked and unworn, with a little age toning in page margins, and some fading to publisher's red stain around edges of the text block. As with all Space Age Book purchases, I will ship this book in a moisture proof zip-loc bag, padded in bubble wrap, inside a sturdy box to assure it reaches its proud new owner in the same condition as my description.

Shipping Terms

Items will be carefully packaged to assure they arrive as described.
All shipments will be via US Postal Service unless requested otherwise. Standard shipping within the USA will be via USPS Media Mail. Priority shipping within the USA will be via USPS First Class Mail.
My current Standard shipping rate within the USA is US$4.00 for the first book, and US$2.00 for additional books in the same order.
There are two situations where I will refund to the buyer a portion of the postage charged by ABEBOOKS: (1) Separate orders placed on the same date for shipment to the same address will be shipped together, so I will refund half of the postage paid for the first book in each such second and subsequent order. And (2) Books described as "paperbacks" in my descriptions weigh less than other books, so I will refund US$1.00 of the paid shipping fee for the 2nd and subsequent paperbacks in the same order shipping to the same address.
