Wonderful illustrations! A lovely older book overall. All 7 plates with tissue guards and 2 color maps are present. Pages 402 and 403 have small tears. Interior pages have moisture damage throughout. Usual ex-library stamps with pocket removed; boards are original. Green boards have gilt lettering on spine and gilt illustration on front board; heavy wear along all edges. The upper corner of front board has been bent; hinge cracks front and back, but still holding tight. Some light tearing and moisture damage to interior of rear board as well.
