8vo. viii, 556[2]pp, double-sides plates, maps and charts (some folding /colour), text maps and figures. Contemporary blue cloth gilt. Ex-Athenaeum Club, Liverpool, with only evidence their handsome bookplate, name in gilt to spine tail and small oblong ink-stamps to foot of title-page and map versos. All maps crisp and bright. Includes contributions by Leakey, Kingdon Ward and Christopher Sykes.
