Withdrawn from an institutional library with neat ink stamps to front wrapper and lower blank margins of maps. Good. Complete map folio with 5 large-format colour geological maps (some folding) and the accompanying 42 uncut pages of text with figures, printed on 5 leaves. A review of this work, published in Science Vol. 140, stated 'that 'the first new geologic map of New York State in three-score years, is not only a splendid scientific achievement in mapping, but the accompanying text provides a brief, comprehensive, geologic history of the area'and amusingly notes in the space age era 'All that is needed is a seven armed Martian to handle the folio in high wind, on a loose talus slope.
