pp.xiv, 824 pages, frontispiece and 25 folding plates, hardback (publisher's blind-stamped cloth), rear inner joint cracked (but now strengthened), a little cracking in outer joints, small tear in one leaf (repaired), and spine sunned - but the two gilt-lettered areas have been stained red (in imitation of red labels), making the spine's lettering very legible once again - otherwise a generally very good+ ex-library book in the series 'Memoirs of the Geological Survey, England and Wales'.
